Personal Finance Blogs<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a reason these blogs are well-known with millions of visitors. They offer actionable personal finance advice whether you’re looking to save on vacation, pay off your debt, or invest.<\/p>\n

  1. Get Rich Slowly<\/a> –<\/span> The title says it all. The blog started as a personal journey for author J.D. Roth as he dug his way out of over $50,000 in debt. Now it has staff writers with various perspectives and life experiences, but the aim of the blog is still to teach readers how to get out of debt, live more frugally, and get rich slowly.<\/li>\n
  2. Wise Bread<\/a> –<\/span> “Living large on a small budget,” is their tagline and their staff of writers offer tips, tricks, and sometimes wacky concepts to save your money. Articles focus on actionable steps or lists. Frugality is the main topic of the blog. There are also daily deals, and forums so you can interact with fellow frugalites.   3. The Simple Dollar<\/a> –<\/span> This blog by author Trent Hamm shares his story of transformation of overworked, debt ridden new dad to blogger and author living a debt free lifestyle. The advice is simple, and Trent offers his own opinions on topics, but every post is meaty-filled with lots of info. If you want a place to dig into a meaty opinions and how-tos along with weekly book reviews on the ever expanding personal finance field The Simple dollar won’t disappoint.<\/li>\n
  4. Deal Seeking Mom<\/a> –<\/span> If you’re looking for a deal, Deal Seeking Mom will have it. Multiple postings a day guarantee that you will find something worth saving on whether you are looking for deals on grocery items, freebies, or deals on everything from DVDs to magazines and more.<\/li>\n
  5. Consumerist<\/a> –<\/span> If you like your consumer info with a side of snark and sharp reporting this is the site for you. While not strictly personal finance, Consumerist covers topics that consumers need to know about. Part of Consumers Union who own Consumer Reports, the Consumerist offers a place for many consumers to share their tales of woe and horror when dealing with customer service. There are posts outlining how to contact executive customer service at major corporations (meaning you get to talk to someone who actually cares), advice on buying, and the yearly “Worst Company in America” bracket polls. “Shoppers bite back,” is their tagline, and it fits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    3. Buy like Buffett<\/a> –<\/span> Author Mark runs an independent advisory firm and offers advice on investing and shares his own choices as a seasoned investor. Whether you are a beginning investor or look for in depth advice on specific stocks, Buy like Buffett has it. Of course you’ll also find articles sharing tips on how to invest like Warren Buffett.<\/li>\n
    4. Invest it Wisely<\/a> –<\/span> Not just a basic investment site-here you will find all kinds of info on investment vehicles, reviews of investing books, and advice what to invest in, and what markets are ones to watch.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
